Stunningly Staged really started many years ago.  We, my husband and I, were flipping homes at the time and I always insisted on decorating each home in a minimal way.  My philosophy was, “I’m not selling a house, I’m selling a home.”

I didn’t try to fill the homes with expensive furniture and décor.  Rather I was obsessed with finding creative and affordable ways to make each home look warm and inviting.  I also wanted  the buyer to see how great the house could look, and a cold, empty house was not a great look! 

Our Realtor at the time kept suggesting that we go into Staging.  Well back then we had never heard of Staging.  “What is Staging?” I asked.  He said that Staging was what we were already doing to our homes before we placed them on the market.

“Your homes look so beautiful, uncluttered, yet so warm.  That’s why they sell so quickly.”  Well this was no surprise to me, We took a lot of pride in making each home look its best, without spending a fortune.  I just had no idea there was a name for it!

So here we are many years later and we are still making homes look beautiful!  A typical Stager charges an average of 1% of the home’s list price when staging.  Not a bad investment, considering that staging can increase the value of a home by as much as 10%!  Yet we have never charged that much.  Not even when staging an executive home!
